It really falls into a couple of categories. First, a love of my Cars (especially my Torino), and secondly creating a space where I can consolidate images, information, links to various stories, and posts across the Internet about my Cars, cool People, and Fun Events.
This is also how I intend to connect my passion for Technology with my Passion for Cars and the Car Community. I'm constantly impressed with the great people that I meet both local and abroad. Good, humble, and fun loving people that you'd like to hang out with. We'll celebrate them here too!
In the Car Community, there are SO MANY incredible People that you meet. There are tons of events such as Car Shows, Cruises, and Charity Events. The People are usually as unique as their Cars. The funny thing is, you meet them by first engaging with them about their car. Twenty minutes later, you know the Car's history, why they chose the Power Train , Wheels, and how long they've had it. Basically, you end up identifying people by the Car they drive. "There's that dude with the sweet 64' Impala!", for example.
Over time (especially since Torino's are very rare and mine has a unique story), I was more easily identifiable by People as "that Torino Guy", or "the Dude with the Torino". Further, nobody really understood "why" I would put so much effort (and $$) Restomodding a Car that isn't typically considered something that collectors seek out. Even though I don't believe anyone would consider my Car or my Legal name "exotic", I decided to embrace it and proactively label myself as the "Torino Fan". This made it easier to engage with People without that awkward moment where we're both trying to remember each other's names since the Torino is an easy reminder of who I am.
